Shiksha
At KMYF, we believe education is a fundamental right—not a privilege. With Shiksha, our education support initiative, we work hand-in-hand with government schools to uplift children from economically weaker sections. From uniforms to digital classrooms, we provide tools that help transform not just learning—but lives.

At A Glance
While government schools aim to serve children from underprivileged backgrounds, they often face severe limitations in infrastructure, access to resources, and individualized student support.
- Lack of basic facilities like uniforms, books, and stationery for students.
- Limited digital infrastructure and outdated teaching methods.
- Inadequate exposure to vocational training or practical skills.
- Special needs students often excluded from mainstream development efforts.
These gaps make it difficult for children to stay motivated in school or compete with peers from more privileged backgrounds.

Our Strategy
KMYF’s Shiksha project addresses these issues with a holistic, student-centric approach. Through direct school adoption, infrastructure upgrades, and individual support initiatives, we are helping create a more inclusive and empowering educational environment.
School Adoption & Holistic Upliftment
We adopt government schools and provide end-to-end support—from setting up digital labs and libraries to upgrading infrastructure. This long-term engagement helps create sustained improvements in the quality of education.
Student-Centric Welfare
Our focus remains on what the student needs most: school uniforms, shoes, socks, sweaters, books, dry ration kits, and even financial help where necessary. For many children, this is the support that keeps them in school.
Empowerment Through Skill Building
We offer vocational training and digital literacy programs to help students gain practical, employable skills. Special emphasis is placed on inclusivity, including support to differently-abled children in state-run institutions.

Fully Equipped Computer Lab
KMYF has built a dedicated computer lab at the Government School in Sarakki, complete with a projector, UPS, biometric system, and printer. A full-time tutor, funded by KMYF, ensures students receive hands-on digital education every day.

Uniform & Stationery Kit Distribution
Hundreds of students have received complete school kits including uniforms, shoes, socks, belts, sweaters, diaries, and stationery. These essentials reduce dropout rates and boost the confidence and dignity of every child.

Upgraded School Infrastructure
From classroom repairs to installing digital learning tools, we’re working closely with school staff to create a more conducive environment for learning. Special projects like digital classrooms and library rollout are also in progress.
Our Impact So Far
The Change
From a single school adoption to influencing the lives of hundreds of children, Shiksha has been a powerful change-maker. Before-and-after photos of classrooms, newly set-up labs, and images of smiling children in their uniforms reflect the impact.
